Roma In Advanced Talks With Tottenham Over Radu Dragusin Loan Deal
Manea confirmed to Digisport that he is currently in London conducting negotiations, stating that Roma have expressed formal interest to Tottenham for the 22-year-old centre-back. The proposed deal structure involves a loan with a conditional obligation to buy, with the agent revealing that the transfer fee being discussed is “much higher than €15 million” for any permanent arrangement.
The Romanian international has been sidelined at Tottenham after rupturing his cruciate ligament and falling out of favour under manager Thomas Frank’s plans. Dragusin is eager to return to Italy to relaunch his career in a league where he previously established himself, having expressed his approval of the potential move to Roma according to reports from Il Tempo.
Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini has identified Dragusin as a highly regarded prospect at Trigoria, with the club viewing him as an ideal addition to their defensive ranks. The Giallorossi are structuring the deal as a loan with conditional buyout terms, allowing them to assess the player’s recovery from his serious knee injury before committing to a permanent transfer.
Manea also revealed that another non-Italian club has shown interest in Dragusin, creating potential competition for Roma’s pursuit. “Roma must first reach an agreement with Tottenham, then I’ll talk to them too,” the agent explained. “We’re waiting, we’re here, and we’ll see in the next few days” as negotiations continue to progress between all parties involved in the potential transfer.
