Paris FC are among several clubs interested in securing a loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur forward Mathys Tel this month, with the 20-year-old French striker seeking regular playing time after limited opportunities at Spurs this season despite making 19 appearances across all competitions.

Paris FC Join Race for Tottenham Forward Mathys Tel as Loan Interest Grows

Tel has endured a frustrating campaign at Tottenham, starting just five Premier League matches despite scoring three goals in 19 appearances across all competitions. The young striker was initially excluded from the club’s UEFA Champions League squad at the start of the season, highlighting his peripheral role in manager’s plans at the north London club.

The France international is actively seeking a loan move for the second half of the season as he aims to secure regular first-team football ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Tel believes consistent playing time is essential for his chances of breaking into the France squad for the tournament, prompting his openness to leaving Tottenham on a temporary basis.

AS Roma and Villarreal have also expressed interest in the striker, alongside Paris FC who are targeting attacking reinforcements as they battle relegation this season. The French club view Tel as a potential solution to their goalscoring problems, with the young forward offering pace and finishing ability that could prove crucial in their survival fight.

However, Tottenham are reluctant to sanction Tel’s departure and are looking to retain the centre-forward despite his limited playing time. Spurs value the striker’s potential and may prefer to keep him at the club rather than allow him to develop elsewhere, creating a potential obstacle for interested clubs seeking to complete a loan deal before the transfer window closes.
