Rotherham United have completed the loan signing of Leeds United striker Harry Gray until the end of the season, with the 17-year-old forward set to bolster the League One club’s attacking options as they battle relegation from England’s third tier.
Rotherham United Complete Season-Long Loan Deal for Leeds Striker Harry Gray
The teenager, who is the younger brother of Tottenham midfielder Archie Gray and great-nephew of Leeds legend Eddie Gray, made his Leeds debut in April last year at the age of 16. Gray featured in Leeds’ 6-0 victory over Stoke City, marking a significant milestone in his development through the Yorkshire club’s academy system.
Gray could make his first appearance for Rotherham in Saturday’s away fixture against promotion-chasing Stockport County in League One. The move provides the young striker with valuable first-team experience as he continues his development, having been limited to sporadic opportunities at Elland Road despite his promising breakthrough into Daniel Farke’s senior squad.
Rotherham currently find themselves in a precarious position, sitting third from bottom in League One and five points adrift of safety. The Millers will hope Gray’s pace and attacking threat can help provide the goals needed to climb away from the relegation zone during the crucial second half of the campaign.
