Fiorentina are in advanced negotiations to sign Leeds United winger Jack Harrison, who would become the Serie A club’s third major signing of the transfer window following the arrivals of Manor Solomon and Marco Brescianini.

Fiorentina Enter Advanced Talks to Sign Leeds United Winger Jack Harrison

Transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Viola have identified Harrison as their next target, with the 29-year-old winger capable of operating on either flank in an attacking role. His versatility would provide coach Paolo Vanoli with different alternatives for Fiorentina’s 4-3-3 formation as they look to strengthen their squad depth.

Fiorentina have already completed two significant signings this transfer window, bringing in Manor Solomon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur with an option to buy for €10 million, before securing Marco Brescianini from Atalanta. Harrison would represent the third major addition as the Italian club continues their active recruitment drive.

The English winger has followed an unconventional career path, spending time in the Liverpool and Manchester United academies before kick-starting his professional career in Major League Soccer with various American clubs. He returned to England in 2018 when Manchester City signed him, before moving to Middlesbrough on loan and then joining Leeds United initially on loan in 2018.

Leeds United made Harrison’s move permanent in 2021 for €12.8 million, though he subsequently spent two seasons on loan at Everton before returning to Elland Road last summer. The winger celebrated his 29th birthday in November and brings Premier League experience to Fiorentina’s pursuit of their tactical objectives under Vanoli’s system.
