AIK Fotboll striker Kevin Filling has dismissed speculation linking him with Manchester United, insisting he pays no attention to transfer rumours despite the Red Devils reportedly pushing for a deal. The 17-year-old Swedish forward says he remains focused on his current club and doesn’t think too far into the future.
Kevin Filling Dismisses Manchester United Transfer Speculation Despite Red Devils Interest
The highly-rated forward has been strongly linked with Manchester United by Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, who claimed the Red Devils are pushing for a deal but have not yet reached an agreement with AIK. Borussia Dortmund have also entered the race for the teenage striker, with Sebastian Kehl wanting to sign the promising talent who could leave AIK as early as this winter transfer window.
Speaking to Sport Bladet about the Manchester United transfer rumours, Filling revealed his relaxed approach to the speculation. “Maybe I see a picture here and there, but it does not matter. It plays no role for me. I am where I am now, and that is how I am as a person,” the 17-year-old said.
The Swedish striker explained that he blocks out external noise and maintains his focus on current performances rather than potential moves. “For some it might be difficult, but not especially for me. I am just like that as a person. I lock myself in a bit, do not think about it too much and just continue from there,” Filling added.
Filling emphasised his commitment to delivering consistent performances regardless of transfer speculation. “I will always do my best. I always try to deliver points, and everyone probably knows that,” he stated. The teenager’s grounded approach has been noted as a promising sign despite attracting significant attention early in his career from major European clubs including Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.
