Everton Complete £42m Dibling Transfer from Southampton on Four-Year Deal

Everton have finalized the signing of Tyler Dibling from Southampton in a deal worth approximately £42 million, including £6 million in add-ons and a 20% sell-on clause for the Saints. The 19-year-old winger has officially signed a four-year contract running until June 2029, completing David Moyes’ ambitious summer recruitment drive.

The transfer represents a significant milestone for Southampton, marking the highest fee ever received for an academy graduate in the club’s history. Dibling enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last season, making 33 Premier League appearances and scoring twice as Southampton competed at the top flight level, demonstrating his readiness for consistent first-team football.

Speaking to Everton’s official channels, Dibling expressed his enthusiasm for the move, describing it as “the perfect match” and citing the club’s environment, new stadium, and passionate fanbase as key factors in his decision. The England youth international becomes Moyes’ eighth summer signing as the manager continues reshaping his squad for the upcoming campaign.

Southampton officially confirmed the permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee, though credible reports suggest the deal structure includes easily-achievable performance-related bonuses alongside the substantial sell-on clause. The Saints expressed pride in Dibling’s development through their academy system while wishing him success at Goodison Park.

The signing takes Everton’s summer expenditure to approximately £124 million, underlining the club’s commitment to strengthening their squad as Moyes targets a return to European competition. While the exact integration plans for Dibling remain unclear, his arrival adds significant pace and creativity to Everton’s attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
