Roma confirmed Friday that Tommaso Baldanzi has completed a temporary move away from the club after an agreement was reached with Genoa CFC. The Italian side said the deal is a loan with an option to buy. Baldanzi arrived in January 2024 and departs after making 69 appearances and scoring three goals for Roma.

Roma announced it had reached an agreement with Genoa CFC for the transfer of Tommaso Baldanzi, formalising the player’s exit on a temporary basis. The club confirmed the move in a statement issued Friday, describing the deal as a loan arrangement that includes an option to buy.

In the same announcement, Roma stated Baldanzi will join Verona on loan with an option to buy. The club did not provide further details on the terms or duration of the agreement beyond the option clause referenced in its statement.

Baldanzi joined Roma in January 2024, and the club said he made 69 appearances during his time in the capital. Roma added that the attacking midfielder scored three goals across those outings before completing the move away.

Roma ended its statement with a message to the player, writing “Good luck, Tommaso!” The announcement did not include quotes from Baldanzi, Roma officials, or representatives from Genoa or Verona regarding the move.
