Casemiro is drawing interest from LA Galaxy ahead of his confirmed Manchester United departure at the end of the season, with enquiries also coming from the Saudi Pro League and Brazil, according to reports. Sources close to the midfielder say he would prefer to stay in Europe if the right offer arrives. United are already assessing potential successors, including Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba.

Casemiro attracts LA Galaxy interest as Man United line up midfield options

Casemiro’s expected exit from Manchester United is prompting enquiries across several leagues, with the Daily Mail reporting LA Galaxy are among the clubs interested in signing the Brazilian when his contract expires this summer. The 33-year-old has also been the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League and Brazilian Serie A, while Major League Soccer is another possible destination.

Sources close to the player have indicated Casemiro’s first choice is to remain in Europe, should a suitable offer be available. United announced last week that Casemiro will leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, making his future a major talking point as clubs weigh up a move for the experienced midfielder.

Casemiro enjoyed a strong first season at United, helping the club lift the Carabao Cup and finish third in the Premier League. His form has dropped this campaign, with the report citing injuries, fitness issues and tactical frailties within the squad as factors in a sharp decline. Even so, his reputation and leadership remain a draw for potential suitors.

LA Galaxy have reportedly identified Casemiro as a marquee target who could raise the squad on and off the pitch. The report notes MLS clubs have often sought high-profile European veterans, and Casemiro’s standing makes him one of the most decorated midfielders set to be available in 2026 as United plan for life after his departure.

United are already exploring replacements, with three names highlighted. Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson is described as versatile, energetic and technically gifted, with United admiring his pressing and ability to fill multiple roles, though Manchester City are also heavily linked. Crystal Palace’s 21-year-old Adam Wharton has drawn praise for composure, passing range and tactical maturity, while Brighton’s Carlos Baleba remains admired after United’s previous attempt to sign him was deterred by a high valuation.
