Arsenal have reportedly opened negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential blockbuster deal for Bradley Barcola, according to Fichajes. The 23-year-old winger has struggled for consistent minutes under Luis Enrique this season, igniting interest across the Premier League including from Liverpool who are also monitoring the French international.
Arsenal Open Negotiations With PSG Over Bradley Barcola Transfer Deal
The French international winger has found regular starting opportunities increasingly limited at PSG this season due to intense competition for attacking spots. Luis Enrique has preferred a front three of Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé, rising star Désiré Doué, and Georgian superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia when fully fit, leaving Barcola with reduced game time despite showing flashes of world-class potential.
This lack of regular minutes has sparked rumours that Barcola could seek a move as early as 2026, with Arsenal positioning themselves at the front of the queue. Mikel Arteta has long admired Barcola’s profile as a talented, explosive wide player with strong one-versus-one ability and believes he would add another dimension to Arsenal’s already potent attack.
Liverpool are also closely monitoring Barcola as they weigh long-term options for life after Mohamed Salah, who has been heavily linked with a future switch to the Saudi Pro League. Barcola’s creativity, pace, and versatility make him an ideal candidate as Liverpool explore elite-level successors to their Egyptian forward.
Despite the interest from Premier League clubs, PSG have extended a contract renewal offer to Barcola. However, it is understood that the 23-year-old is seriously considering a new challenge elsewhere, one that would guarantee him regular starts and the opportunity to maximise his development after being widely regarded as one of the best young wingers in world football.
Negotiations are still at an early stage, and any potential transfer would be complex, particularly given PSG’s reluctance to lose one of their most promising young assets. Arsenal boast one of the deepest squads in Europe but remain keen to enhance the left-wing position, where added competition and high-level quality could help elevate their title aspirations even further.
