Bayern Munich told to fear Liverpool’s ‘dangerous’ pursuit of Olise
German publication Bild has outlined how dangerous Liverpool could become in the summer transfer market, specifically warning Bayern Munich to take their interest in Michael Olise seriously. The warning comes as speculation continues around Mohamed Salah’s potential departure from Anfield following his public dispute with manager Arne Slot.
The Egyptian forward’s relationship with Slot deteriorated after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw against Leeds United in December, when Salah criticised the club for making him a scapegoat. The 33-year-old was subsequently omitted from the squad to face Inter Milan before peace talks facilitated his return for the 2-0 victory over Brighton.
Recent reports suggest Salah and Slot have agreed to put their differences aside until the season’s end, with the forward expected to move to Saudi Arabia in the summer. Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are reportedly looking to complete a deal for Salah, who has contributed seven goals and seven assists in 29 appearances this season.
Bayern Munich could be tempted by a potential €130m (£113m) offer for Olise, particularly as they pursue Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The substantial fee would provide funds for their own transfer business while generating additional resources for squad development.
However, TEAMtalk reports that recent approaches from Liverpool, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have been rejected as deals are considered non-starters. Olise reportedly harbours long-term ambitions to test himself in LaLiga, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona monitoring his progress at Bayern Munich.
