Diego Coppola is set to undergo medical tests with Paris FC in the coming hours after Brighton allowed the Italian centre-back to fly to France ahead of a permanent transfer. The move would take the defender to the French club after a difficult first half of the campaign in England.

According to Gazzetta, Brighton have granted Coppola permission to make the trip as arrangements progress toward completion of the deal. Coppola, 22, joined Brighton in an €11 million move from Hellas Verona last summer.

Coppola has struggled for minutes since arriving, making nine appearances across all competitions. He has played 542 minutes and provided two assists, according to the report.

The defender had been linked with a return to Serie A, with Fiorentina interested in a potential move. Coppola made his senior Italy debut in June 2025, shortly before joining Brighton, and has two international appearances.
