Juventus pursue En-Nesyri loan as Spalletti seeks reliable centre-forward
Juventus are reportedly negotiating with Fenerbahce to bring striker Youssef En-Nesyri to Turin on loan in January, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The Bianconeri have proposed including an option to buy at the end of the season and would cover the Moroccan international’s wages. With En-Nesyri giving the nod to the switch, Juventus are now trying to strike an agreement with the Turkish club.
Juventus sporting director Marco Ottolini is leading the talks and has scheduled a face-to-face meeting with En-Nesyri. The striker has returned to Turkey after the AFCON 2025 tournament. The report said Juventus are in “dire need” of a new centre-forward because of an attacking crisis, prompting the club to intensify their pursuit of a forward who can provide goals consistently.
The report added Juventus’ strategy to invest in Lois Openda and Jonathan David has backfired because of underwhelming performances. It also said Dusan Vlahovic has been sidelined until March with an adductor injury and is expected to part ways with Juventus when his contract expires at the end of the season. Head coach Luciano Spalletti is seeking a reliable centre-forward and has identified En-Nesyri as a top candidate.
En-Nesyri, 28, is coming off what the report described as a spectacular 2024-25 campaign, recording 30 goals and seven assists in all competitions for Fenerbahce. This term he has scored seven times in 15 league appearances. The report noted En-Nesyri was not a regular starter for Morocco, the AFCON 2025 runner-up, because of Ayoub El Kaabi’s presence, and said Juventus believe he would have a strong chance to become their regular starter.
