Keegan enjoyed a distinguished playing career spanning clubs including Liverpool, Hamburg, Southampton and Newcastle United before transitioning into management. His managerial career included spells at Newcastle United, where he transformed them into Premier League title contenders, and a brief but successful period at Fulham where he guided the club to promotion from the Second Division in 1999.
The Doncaster-born football legend also managed England between 1999 and 2000, overseeing 18 matches including the Euro 2000 tournament. His playing achievements included winning the Ballon d’Or twice during his time at Hamburg and securing multiple trophies during his six-year spell at Liverpool, where he scored 100 goals in 323 appearances.
