Agent Expects Lookman-Inter Deal Despite Atalanta Holding Firm on €50m Price

Despite Atalanta’s firm €50 million valuation for Ademola Lookman, optimism within the player’s camp persists regarding a move to Inter Milan, with sources indicating a potential deal could still materialize. While Lookman’s commitment to joining the Serie A club is evident, he has reportedly missed training sessions, hinting at dissatisfaction with his current situation. Observers stress the urgency as the transfer deadline approaches, suggesting that discussions may resume soon with newfound momentum. Further developments are anticipated.

As the transfer deadline looms, Inter Milan finds itself in a precarious position regarding Ademola Lookman‘s potential move, which has intensified following multiple rejected bids from Atalanta. With the latter reportedly holding firm on a €50 million asking price, Inter’s patience has worn thin as they face the very real possibility of failing to secure a vital attacking asset.

Lookman has submitted a formal transfer request, emphasizing his enthusiasm to join the Serie A giants; however, his absence from Atalanta’s training sessions has raised eyebrows and could result in fines. Lookman has gone on strike in protest of Atalanta’s valuation. According to sources, Lookman claimed that Atalanta promised a move this summer, further complicating the situation. Meanwhile, Inter Milan has halted negotiations over his transfer while considering alternatives.

Lookman’s formal transfer request highlights his eagerness to join Inter, but missing training sessions may lead to repercussions.

Despite Atalanta’s insistence on a higher valuation, Inter’s latest offer, which amounted to €40 million plus bonuses, was also dismissed. Coach Ivan Juric acknowledged Lookman’s transparent intent to leave but highlighted the challenges facing both clubs amid the ongoing stalemate.

Consequently, Inter has begun considering alternatives, such as Manu Kone from AS Roma, as they grow anxious with the clock ticking down.

Lookman’s dissatisfaction has been palpable, particularly after publicly criticizing Atalanta for turning down the previous offer. Sources indicate he has pre-agreed personal terms with Inter, suggesting his commitment to the transfer.

While both clubs remain at an impasse, the situation’s significance extends beyond fiscal concerns—failing to bring in Lookman could hamper Inter’s tactical ambitions and diminish their title aspirations.

Analysts recognize Lookman as a player whose presence could intensify their attacking versatility, ultimately affecting their performance in both domestic and European contests.

As a result, observers remain hopeful that a resolution can emerge despite the obstacles, given Lookman’s desire and Inter’s pressing need for reinforcements.
