Radu Dragusin’s agent Florin Manea has confirmed that Roma are his client’s preferred destination in the January transfer window, while revealing Tottenham’s actual asking price is €25 million rather than the widely reported €15 million figure for the Romanian defender.
Dragusin’s Agent Reveals €25 Million Tottenham Asking Price as Roma Push for January Deal
Manea told Rai Sport that he is waiting for Tottenham to approve Roma’s approach for the 23-year-old centre-back, stating “I’m waiting for Tottenham to say yes to Roma so things can really get going.” The agent confirmed there are multiple offers for Dragusin but emphasised that Italy holds special significance for the defender, who previously played in Serie A with Juventus and Genoa.
The agent dismissed suggestions that Tottenham’s asking price stands at €15 million, as reported by Italian sources, revealing the actual valuation is significantly higher. “He costs €25 million,” Manea stated, while also ruling out a potential move to Fiorentina, who have been linked with the Romania international. “With all due respect, that wouldn’t be the right path for him,” the agent said regarding Fiorentina’s interest.
Manea used colourful language to describe why Roma represents the ideal destination for his client, declaring “Italy is a special place for Radu, and he’s done well in Serie A. He’s a gladiator and gladiators belong to Rome.” The defender has recently returned to action following a serious knee injury and has made 26 Premier League appearances for Tottenham, along with seven Europa League outings and one FA Cup appearance.
Dragusin’s Serie A experience includes 40 appearances during his time with Juventus and Genoa, where he scored two goals and provided one assist. The former Genoa defender joined Tottenham from the Italian club and has established himself as a squad option under various managers. Roma are also pursuing attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window and are reportedly close to signing Atletico Madrid forward Giacomo Raspadori.
