Crystal Palace are preparing to offer Thomas Frank the manager’s job in the summer, according to Football Insider, with Oliver Glasner expected to leave after refusing to extend his contract. Crystal Palace plan summer move for Thomas Frank as Glasner exit looms

Crystal Palace are preparing to offer Tottenham boss Thomas Frank the managerial role at Selhurst Park this summer, according to Football Insider. The report says Oliver Glasner is set to depart at the end of the season and has officially told the club he will not sign a contract extension. Palace have stepped up their search for a long-term appointment, with Frank emerging as their preferred candidate.

Glasner’s relationship with the Crystal Palace hierarchy has reportedly worsened in recent months, particularly after he publicly criticised the board’s transfer-market strategy. Those remarks are said to have strengthened the club’s belief that a fresh start is needed in the summer. The report noted that Glasner guided Palace to FA Cup and Community Shield success last year.

Palace are described as viewing Frank as an ideal option to oversee a rebuild, citing his ability to provide stability, a clear tactical identity and competitive results while operating on a restricted budget. His work at Brentford, where he oversaw promotion, Premier League consolidation and squad building, is presented as a reason he fits Palace’s long-term vision despite a difficult spell at Tottenham.

Football Insider reported that sources at Selhurst Park believe landing Frank would be a major coup, pointing to his track record of nurturing talent, improving structure and maximising resources. While Frank is the No. 1 target, Palace have drawn up a broader shortlist, with Jose Bordalas of Getafe and Íñigo Pérez of Rayo Vallecano among the names under evaluation.

The report added that Palace face a tactical reset with players including Marc Guéhi and Jean-Philippe Mateta attracting significant interest. Palace are said to want a manager capable of rebuilding intelligently while keeping the team competitive, with Frank’s Premier League experience, squad-building reputation and leadership style described as key reasons for the club’s interest.
