Juventus have turned to Everton striker Beto as a late option in their search for a new centre-forward after talks for Youssef En-Nesyri fell through, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported. The Turin club are interested only in a loan with an option to buy, while Everton are said to value Beto at €20 million. Intermediaries are working on a potential deal.
Juventus consider Everton striker Beto as loan option to bolster attack
Juventus have identified Everton striker Beto as a possible reinforcement in attack after their discussions for Youssef En-Nesyri collapsed, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The report said Beto has emerged as a last-minute option as Juventus continue their search for a new centre-forward.
Gazzetta reported Juventus are interested only in a loan deal with an option to buy, describing it as the same reason En-Nesyri turned down their offer. It remains unclear whether Beto would accept a temporary move to Turin if the clubs reach an agreement. Everton are reported to value the forward at €20 million.
The report added that intermediaries are already working on a possible deal between the three parties, although Beto is not the only attacking target Juventus are considering. Juventus have already held talks with Crystal Palace for Jean-Philippe Mateta and have reportedly resumed talks with Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee.
Juventus have not made any new signings in the January transfer window, which is set to close next week on Feb. 2 at 20:00 CET, according to the report. Beto, a former Udinese striker, is not a regular starter at Everton and has scored three goals in 25 appearances this term.
