Dimarco Praises Chivu Impact After Inter Beat Udinese 1-0

Inter Milan wing-back Federico Dimarco praised head coach Cristian Chivu’s impact on the squad after the Nerazzurri secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory away to Udinese, with the Italy international highlighting how the coach has brought fresh motivation and serenity to the group.

Dimarco Credits Chivu For Transforming Inter Milan After Battling Win At Udinese

Dimarco acknowledged the difficulty of the fixture when speaking to DAZN after the match, admitting Inter knew they were facing one of the toughest away trips in Serie A. The wing-back explained that his team created numerous opportunities in the first half but struggled with their finishing, before showing their character by suffering together in the second half to secure a deserved victory.

The Italy international came close to scoring himself during the match but insisted the result mattered more than personal glory. Dimarco stressed the importance of listening to the coach and following his instructions, stating that the team is doing good work under Chivu’s guidance and will enjoy success if they continue to follow his methods.

Speaking further to Sky Sport, Dimarco emphasized the significance of collecting three points at a difficult venue, noting that only Milan had previously won at Udinese among the big teams this season. He highlighted the physical and mental demands of Inter’s schedule, explaining that the key now is recovering energy as quickly as possible while maintaining their high standards across all competitions.

The defender praised Inter’s collective sacrifice and determination during the match, with every player contributing to the victory through their commitment to the team cause. Dimarco also reflected on his own role within the team, explaining that he always works to put his qualities at the service of the squad, particularly in providing the final pass in attacking situations.

Dimarco concluded by addressing the transition from previous coach Simone Inzaghi to Cristian Chivu, admitting that while the team did great work under Inzaghi and perhaps could have won more, Chivu has provided fresh motivation to the squad. He particularly noted how the new coach has energized the older players and brought serenity back to the group, with Inter’s ability to suffer and still collect three points at Udinese offering further proof of Chivu’s growing influence.
