Juventus are still waiting for Youssef En-Nesyri to approve a move to Turin after reaching an agreement in principle with Fenerbahce on a loan deal that includes an option to buy. Reports in Italy and Turkey said the Morocco international has asked for a permanent transfer, while Sevilla have also been linked with a move to bring him back to Spain.
Juventus give En-Nesyri deadline as Sevilla join race for Fenerbahce striker
Juventus appeared close to signing Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri, but the 28-year-old has yet to give the green light to complete the move. Reports said Juventus have already shaken hands with Fenerbahce over a loan deal that includes an option to buy, leaving the next step dependent on the player’s response.
Sky Sport reported Sevilla have entered the race for En-Nesyri, with the Spanish club attempting to lure the forward back to a team he represented for four years between 2020 and 2024. The report added that Sevilla’s interest has become a factor as Juventus wait for the striker to decide whether he is willing to move to Turin.
Italian journalist Marco Conterio reported on X that En-Nesyri has demanded a permanent transfer, which is why he has not yet approved the proposed switch. The same report said En-Nesyri has requested a straight sale rather than the loan structure agreed between the clubs.
Juventus are not prepared to wait much longer. Conterio and Tuttosport reported the Bianconeri expect a final answer by Sunday, Jan. 26, setting a clear deadline to resolve the situation. Juventus were due to play later the same day, hosting rivals Napoli at the Allianz Stadium at 1800 CET.
