Everton are in concrete talks to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahçe, with the Morocco international striker valued at €22 million by Transfermarkt. The 27-year-old forward is currently on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations but remains the subject of serious transfer discussions between the two clubs.

Everton Enter Concrete Transfer Talks for Fenerbahçe Striker Youssef En-Nesyri

Florian Plettenberg reports that negotiations are already underway for the Morocco international, who has scored seven goals across 15 Süper Lig games for Fenerbahçe this season. En-Nesyri has played 948 minutes from a possible 1350 in the Turkish league, demonstrating his impact despite limited playing time under manager José Mourinho.

Fenerbahçe are open to discussions regarding either a loan move or a permanent departure for En-Nesyri, who remains contracted until 2029. The striker has established himself as a key player for the Istanbul club, striking 38 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions since his arrival from Sevilla.

However, a potential stumbling block for Everton emerges from the player’s personal preferences regarding climate. Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu reports that En-Nesyri doesn’t like cold climates, a factor that previously affected Nottingham Forest’s interest in the Moroccan forward during their own pursuit of his signature.

En-Nesyri built his reputation at Sevilla, where he scored 73 goals in 196 games before switching to Fenerbahçe. The striker’s proven track record in European football and his current form in Turkey make him an attractive target for Everton as they seek to strengthen their attacking options during the January transfer window.
