Manchester United have recalled Jack Moorhouse from his loan spell with Leyton Orient, ending the midfielder’s development stint in League One. The 20-year-old had been with the O’s since August and will now return to Carrington. According to Manutd.com.

Moorhouse Returns to United After Productive Orient Development Spell

Moorhouse had established himself as a mainstay in Richie Wellens’s side during his time in the capital. He scored his first goal for Orient in a 3-1 victory over Peterborough United in the EFL Trophy earlier this season, marking a significant milestone in his development.

The combative Academy midfielder also gained valuable international experience during his loan spell away from Old Trafford. Playing against England and Andorra in November, Moorhouse featured twice for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-21s, bringing his total international appearances to three for his nation.

United’s decision to recall the young midfielder suggests they see a pathway for his continued development within the first-team setup. Moorhouse initially departed for Orient at the start of the 2025/26 campaign and will now rejoin the squad at Carrington after his productive spell in League One.
