Roma are preparing a €10 million bid for Fiorentina winger Niccolò Fortini, whose contract expires in 2027 and who currently has no intention of renewing his deal with the Viola. The Giallorossi previously submitted a €13 million proposal for the 2006-born player during the summer transfer window.
Roma Target €10 Million Move for Fiorentina Winger Niccolò Fortini
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Roman club are once again pursuing Fortini after their unsuccessful summer approach. The 18-year-old winger finds himself in a delicate contract situation at Fiorentina, with his current deal running until 2027 but showing no signs of agreeing fresh terms with his current employers.
Fortini’s playing time has become increasingly limited under Paolo Vanoli’s tactical changes, with the manager’s new formation potentially marginalising the young winger’s role in the squad. The teenager managed just seven minutes of action against Milan, coming on as a substitute in the 83rd minute, highlighting his reduced status within the first-team setup.
Roma view Fortini as a potential solution to their left-back concerns, particularly given the delicate situation surrounding Angelino’s future at the club. The Giallorossi see the versatile 2006-born player as an attractive target at their Trigoria training base, with his ability to operate in multiple positions adding to his appeal for the capital club.
A separate deal between the two clubs could materialise in the coming hours, with Fiorentina having reached an agreement with Roma for Tommaso Baldanzi’s transfer this window. However, the completion of that transaction remains dependent on Giacomo Raspadori’s final decision, which is currently delaying the successful conclusion of the deal between the Serie A rivals.
