Roma are close to reaching an agreement with Giacomo Raspadori after a meeting with the striker’s agent on Wednesday, with multiple Italian sources reporting significant progress in negotiations. Roma director Frederic Massara travelled to Milan on Wednesday to hold talks with Raspadori’s representatives, with the Italian striker participating in the meeting remotely via video call according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The discussions proved productive as both parties worked towards finalising personal terms for the potential January transfer from Atletico Madrid.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma increased their salary offer for Raspadori by €500,000 to reach a total package of €4m per season. The enhanced proposal represents a significant commitment from the Giallorossi as they look to strengthen their attacking options during the January transfer window with the versatile forward who can operate across multiple positions.
