Roma are finalizing an agreement with Marseille for teenage forward Robinio Vaz in a deal worth approximately €20 million plus bonuses, with the 18-year-old set to become the Giallorossi’s first attacking signing of the January transfer window following complications with other targets including Giacomo Raspadori.

Roma Close to Completing €20 Million Deal for Marseille Forward Robinio Vaz

The 2007-born attacker has impressed Roma sporting director Massara and manager Gasperini during their scouting assessments, prompting the Italian club to accelerate negotiations with the French side. Roma have moved quickly for Vaz after experiencing delays with Napoli’s Raspadori and facing a complicated situation regarding their pursuit of Manchester United targets.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that an agreement between the clubs is close to completion, with the final transfer fee expected to reach €20 million including performance-related bonuses. Roma have benefited from their excellent relationship with Marseille’s management structure, which previously included former Roma figures Benatia and Balzaretti in key positions.

The remaining obstacle involves negotiating personal terms between Roma and Vaz’s representatives, with Massara working to finalize the contract details for one of European football’s most exciting young prospects. The teenager has already established himself in Marseille’s first team this season, making 14 appearances in Ligue 1 while contributing four goals and two assists.

Vaz’s potential arrival would represent a significant coup for Roma in securing a highly-rated young talent who has already proven his ability at the highest level of French football. The deal demonstrates Roma’s commitment to investing in promising young players who can make an immediate impact while offering long-term value to the club’s attacking options.
