Roma are set to complete the signing of teenage striker Robinio Vaz from Olympique Marseille for €25 million, with the 18-year-old scheduled to undergo his medical examination within the next 24 hours according to reports from Italy and France.

Multiple sources including Footmercato, Il Tempo and Fabrizio Romano confirm that Roma and Marseille have agreed terms on a deal worth €20 million plus €5 million in add-ons for the French youth international. The transfer is structured as a loan with option to buy, which becomes an obligation to purchase if fairly easy to achieve targets are met during his time at the Stadio Olimpico.
Sky Sport Italia report that Roma sporting director Ricky Massara travelled to Paris to speak directly with Vaz and his family to secure the transfer. The striker, who will celebrate his 19th birthday next month, is expected to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Giallorossi, representing a significant salary increase from his current terms at Marseille.
Vaz has impressed during his breakthrough season in Ligue 1, scoring four goals and providing two assists in 14 league appearances for Marseille. The teenager came through the Sochaux academy before joining Marseille for just €200,000 in August 2024, representing exceptional value for the French club who now stand to make a substantial profit on their investment.
The striker has represented France at various youth levels including Under-20 international level and briefly posted a goodbye message to Marseille fans on Instagram before deleting it. Vaz featured in Marseille’s Champions League campaign this season, including their match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, gaining valuable European experience ahead of his move to Serie A.
