Roma have emerged as frontrunners to secure Bryan Zaragoza after Celta Vigo indicated their willingness to terminate the winger’s loan from Bayern Munich. The move could be completed this weekend as Gian Piero Gasperini seeks additional attacking reinforcements. According to Football-italia.net.
Roma close in on Zaragoza as Celta Vigo prepare loan termination
Multiple sources including Il Messaggero, Sky Sport Italia and Fabrizio Romano confirm that the 24-year-old fits Roma’s requirements and represents one of several attacking options under consideration. Gasperini has specifically requested more firepower following the recent arrivals of Donyell Malen and Robinio Vaz.
Zaragoza’s versatility makes him an attractive proposition for Roma’s tactical setup, with the Spaniard capable of operating on either flank or in a trequartista supporting role. His adaptability aligns perfectly with Gasperini’s system, according to Sportitalia, though he remains one of several candidates being evaluated.
The former Granada academy product joined Celta Vigo last summer on loan from Bayern Munich, with the Spanish club holding an option to buy that could become an obligation under certain conditions. However, Celta’s willingness to terminate the arrangement opens the door for Roma to secure his services.
Zaragoza has contributed two goals and four assists in 26 competitive games for Celta Vigo this season, demonstrating his ability to impact matches across multiple competitions. The winger originally moved to Bayern Munich in a €13m transfer and has also gained experience during a previous loan spell at Osasuna.
