Wolves have rejected a £33 million bid from Leeds for striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, with a further £6 million in potential add-ons included in the proposal. The offer arrived several days ago, but Wolves value the Norway international at about £40 million. Head coach Rob Edwards said Strand Larsen remains in the plans and will be part of the squad for Saturday’s trip to Manchester City.

Wolves turn down Leeds’ £33m offer as Edwards keeps Strand Larsen in squad

Wolves have rejected a £33 million bid from Leeds United for striker Jorgen Strand Larsen. The offer, which included a further £6 million in potential add-ons, came a number of days ago. Wolves value the 25-year-old Norway international at about £40 million and are willing to sell if they receive an acceptable proposal before the transfer window closes on Feb. 2.

Wolves are not pushing to sell and, as it stands, Strand Larsen will be part of the squad to face Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday. Head coach Rob Edwards said the forward has trained well and kept his focus. Edwards added the club is “not under any pressure to sell” and said no player will leave unless Wolves believe it is the right move for the football club.

The report said Wolves are bottom of the Premier League and looking to reshape their squad before an expected relegation, with Strand Larsen struggling in the league this season. He joined from Celta Vigo initially on loan in 2024, scored 14 goals last season and made the move permanent in the summer for £23 million. A hat-trick in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury this month took his tally to six goals this season, though only one has come in the league.

Newcastle failed with bids of £50 million and £55 million for Strand Larsen in August, while Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Crystal Palace are among other clubs to have shown interest this month. Wolves are also willing to let defender Emmanuel Agbadou leave and are in talks with Besiktas, whose latest offer is £13 million, with Wolves looking for £17 million. Midfielder Joao Gomes has attracted interest from Napoli and Atletico Madrid but could still stay at Molineux until the end of the season.
